Orchard Collection

I’ve been quiet on the blog recently, but busy busy with the dye pots! There’s been a secret project I’ll be able to reveal in Autumn and some plotting and planning of new things.

I’ll be announcing my new Orchard Collection later in the week.  Four new colours on a lace weight yarn sourced from a single flock, all dyed with natural dyes of course.  Until the big announcement, here’s a sneaky peak.

Wharfe Wool Fair

We had a great time at our first show last weekend. Here’s the stall all ready to go.

This was the first Wharfe Wool Fair, organised by Adelaide Walker, and it was a great success.  There were around 14 stallholders selling a range of hand dyed yarns, fibre, tools, garments and gifts. The word had obviously got around as it was busy straight away at 10am and didn’t really let up all day. Having said that, it was nicely laid out so that it wasn’t too crammed, I didn’t see too much elbow action!

We met lots of lovely people and had lots of nice comments on the stall and yarn and fibre.  The Ashton Shawl that I’d knitted in my Tyan Lace BFL/Silk base went down really well and I pointed lots of people in the direction of Ravelry to download the free pattern.

Now I’m restocking the Etsy shop over the next few days and ordering lots more yarn to dye up in time for Yarndale in Skipton in September.
