Wharfe Wool Fair

We had a great time at our first show last weekend. Here’s the stall all ready to go.

This was the first Wharfe Wool Fair, organised by Adelaide Walker, and it was a great success.  There were around 14 stallholders selling a range of hand dyed yarns, fibre, tools, garments and gifts. The word had obviously got around as it was busy straight away at 10am and didn’t really let up all day. Having said that, it was nicely laid out so that it wasn’t too crammed, I didn’t see too much elbow action!

We met lots of lovely people and had lots of nice comments on the stall and yarn and fibre.  The Ashton Shawl that I’d knitted in my Tyan Lace BFL/Silk base went down really well and I pointed lots of people in the direction of Ravelry to download the free pattern.

Now I’m restocking the Etsy shop over the next few days and ordering lots more yarn to dye up in time for Yarndale in Skipton in September.

Fibreholics

Edit: The bags are now live, go get ‘um!!

The next round of the Fibreholics sample bags goes live sometime this weekend.  The sample bags are a great way to try out a few different UK independent dyers in one go.  The bags contain 20g – 25g samples from five different dyers. There are yarn bags or fibre bags.  Sign up for the newsletter to find out exactly when the bags go on sale, demand is usually high!

I have both yarn and fibre samples with Fibreholics for this month.
